For the latest dip into the Horsham Museum & Art Gallery archives we have the works of Edith Margaret Harris (1870-1943).
She was one of six children born to Thomas, a plumber and painter, and Ellen Harms.

The family lived at Richmond Terrace, Carfax, Horsham.
Edith was a teacher of drawing at the Horsham School of Art and later became its principal.
She exhibited with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour in London, the Royal Academy and the Society of Women Artists.
She also exhibited in Paris.
Her work is currently not on show.
