The project to have a fitting memorial statue in Horsham for poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, who had strong links with the town, has gathered apace.
Horsham Museum & Art Gallery is currently acting as host to the four statue models and is inviting the public to vote for their favourite and leave any comments.
The team behind the Shelley Memorial Project have worked hard behind the scenes, inviting various designers to submit ideas and creating the shortlist of four prospective works.
The models will be on display until Saturday April 6. Entry is FREE and the Museum is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm.
The Shelley Memorial Project has its own website where it says: “The aim of company, based in Horsham, West Sussex, is to establish a lasting public memorial to the poet Shelley – for public enjoyment, inspiration and education, and to commemorate Horsham’s most famous citizen.”
