Summer of fun lined up for Horsham Museum

Museum garden

A Pop-Up shop, a garden party and the return of the Friday Lates – yes, Horsham Museum & Art Gallery has a busy spring and summer ahead!

It all begins over the early May Bank Holiday during the district council’s ‘aMAYzing’ weekend. On the Sunday (May 5) the Museum will be hosting a Garden Party with live music and refreshments available.

The day before, the Collyers’ Pop-Up shop opens in the Museum. You can stop by to visit the shop which will be stocked with merchandise created for the museum by Collyer’s BTEC National Art and Design students.

It’s all inspired by the Museum and the history of Horsham!

The Museum Lates, which proved so popular last year, begin on June 7. Everyone is invited to come along for the extended evening opening with a 1970s theme, to celebrate the Horsham District Council’s 50th Anniversary.

Enjoy the museum after hours (open until 8pm) with refreshments and live music from acoustic duo Soph & Simon.

The rest of the Lates are on July 19, August 16 and September 13, with the usual mix of live music and refreshments available.

So it should be a fun time for all in the coming months and worth jotting down those dates in your diary!
