The major project to add the five volumes of Horsham’s History on to the Friends’ website has been completed!
Former Curator Jeremy Knight’s comprehensive guide through the town’s past up to 1939 has been available in book form via the library and several copies were sold to the public.
However, due to spiralling costs of printing, they have not been on sale to the general public for some time.
The Friends of the Horsham Museum & Art Gallery were asked by Jeremy to upload the text to the Friends’ website.
It has taken a few months to sort out, but this has been completed and anyone can view the detailed work as part of a history project or just out of general interest.
Due to data limitations, none of the photos in the books have been included, but the text is still a valuable resource that the Friends hope will be of use for years to come.
All the volumes are available online via the Horsham History drop-down menu on the home page.
