Horsham Museum’s new-look library

The old library at Horsham Museum & Art Gallery has been given a major revamp!

On Saturday (May 25) the doors were re-opened to a bright, new-look room that offers a place to sit and study.

The number of local authors on show has been reduced to allow far more information to be presented in a more accessible format.

There’s also a new reference section, with local history books and others all catalogued and presented for easy access.

So, you can learn about the very popular novels by Hammond Innes, who has a blue plaque in the Causeway!

The much loved Cicely Mary Barker’s Fairy Stories are also on show, as well as those of the controversial author and speaker Hilaire Belloc.

So, visitors to the Museum now have the chance to read about writers who have made the Horsham district their home, as well as sit and study the various reference books.
