Join us for a guide round historic Christ’s Hospital

The Friends of Horsham Museum & Art Gallery have arranged a visit to Christ’s Hospital school, just outside Horsham, on Monday May 19 2025.

A postcard of Christ’s Hospital Quadrangle.

We will be taking part in their comprehensive Verrio* tour, starting at 12.45.

After a formal introduction, we will watch the school Band Parade, have a guided tour of the school itself, take afternoon tea in the magnificent Dining Hall, and then transfer to the Christ’s Hospital Museum for another tour and talk.

The afternoon will conclude at 4.45pm.

There will be no pre-arranged transport, but there is plenty of car parking available at the property.

We will need to submit a £10 non-refundable deposit per person during February 2025.

The total cost is expected to be £30, subject to confirmation and we need a minimum of 10 participants to ensure that this visit will take place.

Watch out for further details in our forthcoming newsletter, and also via our website and Facebook pages.

At this stage, please let us know by emailing fhmag1893@gmail.com if you would be interested in joining the party, or if you need any further information.

*As an aside, the Verrio tour is named after the 87-foot long painting by Antonio Verrio housed in the school dining hall, and which commemorates the school’s second Royal Charter granted by Charles II in 1673.
