Last year’s Friday Late events proved a major success, so they are returning this summer!
From June there will be a Friday Late every month until September when the Museum will be open until 8pm. Live music will be available from 6pm, with refreshments on sale on site.
The music will be playing in the garden, whatever the weather and attendance is not bookable.
Last year some of the events attracted bumper crowds, so if capacity is reached visitors may be asked to wait before entering the Museum.
Of course, the galleries will all be open, so visitors have the chance to view the many fascinating artefacts, plus the local art in the Gallery.
It all starts on June 13 when talented folk duo Folkus make a return visit.

July 18 is the next date when live entertainment will be provided by Brighton jazz duo, Sloth in the City.
August 15 is a special Museum Late as there will be a celebration of the 80th anniversary of VJ day.
The museum will be open until 8pm with live entertainment of vintage 1950s and 1960s hits from singer Lianna Hayes, starting at 6pm.
Finally, on September 12, Brighton based steel band, Steel Tribe will be returning. Their amazing enthusiasm and sound will guarantee a fitting finale!
The Museum normal opening hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm. It will be open on Bank Holidays.
