Today (June 7) is Butterfly Education and Awareness Day (BEAD).
It’s an annual event organised by the Association for Butterflies (AFD) to raise awareness about butterfly conservation and this year is the tenth anniversary!
The idea is to educate the public about butterfly habitat creation or restoration and how butterflies are important for pollination.
Horsham Museum & Art Gallery certainly does its bit every year thanks to a dedicated bunch of volunteers who look after the garden.

Plants and flowers are chosen to help wildlife and, as a result, a wide variety of creatures visit.
As our video shows there are several varieties of butterfly that drop by!
The Museum garden is part of the FREE admission and it opens Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm (plus Bank Holidays).
