Behind the scenes at Horsham Museum

The revamped Fossils and Flints Gallery has just been opened at Horsham Museum & Art Gallery.

There are some intriguing new artefacts on show, including Bronze Age axe heads.

However, having the objects is just part of creating an eye-catching exhibition!

major factor is how you display the objects so the public can appreciate them from as many vantage points as possible.

Assistant Curator George Graham-Payne (pictured in our featured image) took part in a metal-mounting course at West Dean College, near Chichester.

The skills he learned have been put to great use in the Fossils and Flints Gallery.

He has written a fascinating blog on the Museum site revealing just how he set about revamping the gallery.
